Lute FP This is one of those bands that I discovered in the middle of their catalog, logically moved forward and didn’t hear what I wanted, then moved backward, and found what I wanted. Evolution is a fickle beast.

Progressive stoner with killer songwriting, the bass and vocals being the standout. Tool-like hypnotic riffs seem to inform the culture of the aesthetic, but this band has a life of its own. This album is fantastic.

Bucky Phe is short for phenomenal obviously. Combining growth rings of desert fuzz, flourishes of psych laden blues and a penchant for heavy rock n roll, Phe petrify us with absolute groove on this debut. Favorite track: Up on the mountain.
